Have you ever wished you could wander into The Red Apron after hours and graze over a thin crust, sourdough pizza that’s served to you table side with a cold, locally brewed beer from Dominion City? Or that you could swing by and pick up a bubbling hot-from-the-oven pizza made to order to bring home for the family? Wish no more! Pizza Pop Up nights are here for the summer!
We’re thrilled to announce that from 5-8pm every Wednesday and Thursday evening through June, July and August, we are creating sourdough, thin crust pizzas featuring local ingredients – like Seed to Sausage speck, Rideau Pines Farm Asparagus, and heritage amber wheat from Against the Grain Farms. Making use of our backyard garden wall herbs and incorporating all the locally grown produce we can manage, we’re taking the best of Ottawa and tossing it onto an unforgettable pie for you and your friends and family.
If you’re doing take out, grab a few of our side salads or soups from the freezer to stretch the meal out so you can be sure everyone will get their fill.
This coming Wednesday is our inaugural run, and we’re so excited to see new and familiar faces as we embark on this delicious new journey. Summer tends to be a quieter time in the shop, and we’re very much looking forward to having it filled with the sound of conversation, laughter and maybe some pizza-fueled contented sighs, too!
